Kathryn Neel, Ph.D., is the Director of Cornerstone. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia, and her doctorate from George Mason University. Her training and experience include the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, the Woodburn Center for Community Health, and the Catholic University Counseling Center. She completed a two year post-doctoral training program in psychodynamic psychotherapy at the Washington School of Psychiatry in Washington D.C. She has been in private practice for the past 16 years and specializes in insight-oriented psychotherapy with older adolescents and adults. She has a clinical expertise in food addiction and compulsive overeating and is leading the weight loss and food addiction psychotherapy groups.
